Lauren Nase, Graduate Student Intern
Supervised by Leslie Bley, LPC-S
Lauren will begin seeing clients in August 2023.
My passion for helping others began in 2013 when I was an elementary music teacher. While music is still an integral part of my life, I shifted careers after a cross-country move to New York City, where I worked as a flight attendant for a major airline until my daughter was born.
Throughout my interactions with others, whether it was a defiant fifth grader in the classroom or an emotional passenger on the airplane, I have always been drawn to people’s unique stories. After enduring some challenges that shifted the trajectory of my personal life, I made the decision to change careers once again, and pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a licensed professional counselor.
I am currently a graduate student at Liberty University in the Clinical Mental Health Program and am under the supervision of Leslie Bley, LPC-S. My approach to counseling is narrative-based with a focus on family systems. I believe individual change occurs through the development of a strong identity during dynamic circumstances, and I hope to work with people who are navigating all walks of life.
