Session Information and Payment

Counseling sessions with me are typically 50 minutes long, and payment is due at the time of each visit. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Missed appointments without sufficient notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

While I am not able to bill in-network insurance directly, I can provide you with a receipt (often called a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I also accept most FSA and HSA cards for payment.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost.

Under federal law, health care providers are required to give patients who are uninsured or not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including counseling. This estimate must be provided before services are delivered.

You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time. Here’s what you can expect:

  • If you schedule a service at least 3 business days in advance, I will provide a written estimate within 1 business day.

  • If you schedule at least 10 business days in advance, I will provide a written estimate within 3 business days.

  • You can also request an estimate before scheduling, and I will respond in writing within 3 business days.

If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.

Be sure to keep a copy of any estimates and bills for your records.
